Floodlighting and Electrical have completed a new LED floodlighting upgrade at Goytre AFC, helping the club improve the quality of its playing environment while reducing energy consumption and giving the team greater control over how its facilities are lit.
As part of the project, Floodlighting and Electrical upgraded the club’s existing floodlighting to a modern LED system, delivering brighter, more efficient illumination across the playing area.
For a busy grassroots football club, effective floodlighting plays an important role in maximising the use of its facilities. The new LED installation provides Goytre AFC with high-quality lighting for evening training and matches, while the improved energy efficiency helps the club reduce unnecessary power consumption.
Smarter control with SmartGEDi
Alongside the LED upgrade, Floodlighting and Electrical installed its SmartGEDi app-based dimming system, giving the club greater flexibility over its lighting. Rather than operating the floodlights at the same output for every activity, the club can control lighting levels directly from a mobile device and adjust them to suit different requirements, including training sessions, competitive matches and maintenance. This means Goytre AFC can use the level of lighting it needs, when it needs it - helping to further reduce energy use while making the system straightforward for club staff to manage. The completed project provides Goytre AFC with a modern floodlighting solution designed to balance performance, usability and energy efficiency. For Floodlighting and Electrical, the project is another example of how LED technology and smart controls can help sports clubs modernise their facilities while taking a more considered approach to energy consumption.
