Floodlighting & Electrical Services Renews Partnership with Tennis Wales, Continuing Support for Community Projects

We are delighted to announce that Floodlighting and Electrical Services has renewed its partnership with Tennis Wales, ensuring the continuation of funding for community-focused initiatives through the Tiebreak Fund.

At Floodlighting and Electrical Services, we specialise in providing tailored lighting and electrical solutions, with expertise in the installation and maintenance of floodlighting for sports facilities. Our work ensures safe, high-quality environments where sports, including tennis, can thrive year-round.

In 2024, we were proud to support the Tiebreak Fund, which allocated over £31,000 to 23 projects across Wales. These initiatives, led by tennis & padel clubs, venues, and non-profit organisations, harnessed the power of tennis to drive positive change within local communities.

One standout project was the Ummul Mumineen Academy Girls Sports initiative, which empowered 100 BAME girls from Grangetown and Cardiff Bay by providing culturally sensitive coaching, community-led events, and support for equipment and transport. Another successful programme, Tennis Squad’s Speakeasy Club, hosted a summer series of free adult drop-in sessions focused on physical and mental wellbeing.

With this renewed partnership, the Tiebreak Fund will continue supporting impactful projects like these in 2025, further expanding tennis participation across Wales.

Gareth Thomas, Managing Director of Floodlighting and Electrical Services, shared his enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration: "We are proud to extend our partnership with Tennis Wales. As a business, we are committed to providing tennis facilities in Wales with industry-leading floodlighting and sustainability products, ensuring optimal playing conditions while maximising energy efficiency. Since our initial partnership with Tennis Wales in 2022, our relationship has grown from strength to strength, and we are excited to continue working together in the future."

Simon Johnson, CEO of Tennis Wales, expressed his appreciation: "We are thrilled that Floodlighting & Electrical Services is continuing their support of Welsh tennis through the Tiebreak Fund. These essential projects make tennis more accessible to all. Floodlighting & Electrical Services is a valued partner that shares our vision of making tennis available to everyone. We deeply appreciate their dedication to growing our sport."

As we move into 2025, we look forward to another successful year of supporting tennis in Wales. We are committed to fostering inclusivity, accessibility, and growth within the sport, ensuring that communities across the country can benefit from high-quality facilities and impactful programmes.
